SOUL SUVIVOR ROCKED!!!!

yeah as you can tell i'm in a pretty good mood at the moment since ive spent the last five days at soul survivor; if anyone has not been or doesn't know about soul survivor ( really you haven't lived) i'll give you the quick lowdown. Basically it is a huge christian camp filled with about 10,000 teenagers each of the weeks its on. Theres tons of stuff to do ranging from sports, skating or just generally chillin. Then theres the main meetings, which are awesome, often lead by the legendary Tim Hughes

Or worship is often lead by Delirious? Or how about Hillsong United

But i really cannot get through my lowdown of soul survivor without mentioning the great Mike Pilavachi, he truly is a legend.

So thats pretty much what soul survivor is and i would like to give it up for all my friends who all made soul survivor great, matt, rob, doug, pete, jon, bev, rachael, dave, jemma, brett and all the cool new girls i met may, louise, lucy, julie, beth, emma and ciara.

I think i have to give stevie p his own little mention, his campness was liked by literally everyone on site and everybody knew his name, so lets give a shout out to fantabulous, spinniferous steve

Unsurprisingly Red hot chili peppers. Actually i was kinda hoping they would win because they are truly an awesome band and so im glad im dedicating this post to them.

The chilis belong to an elite group of bands that have stood the test of time and lasted (whilst remaining popular) for over two decades. This is probably due to the originality of their music and the various elements it consists of. It is really a wierd mixture of funk, rock, punk, pop, rap and pretty much everything. It has awesome bass tunes, provided from ultra cool 'flea', great guitar riffs from John Frusciante and wicked drumming from Chad Smith. But really Red hot chilli pepers would be nothing without Anthony Kiedis aka Antwan the swan. He's such a good vocalist and performer since he's got his completely unique style that is pretty much impossible to imitate. I reckon that he's similar to ( i know i'll get many who diagree) Freddie Mercury. Hang on hear my out. The two have quite similar stage presences on how the really put on an a friggin awesome show and really write wicked tunes. And yes i know Anthony is not gay and doesnt dress up as ladies.....watch the video for Queen's 'I want to break free' and you'll see what i mean

My mate James (still envious of him for this) was lucky enough to get tickets to the Chillis live at Slade castle. Check out the amazing pic below of what was apparantly an amzing gig.

Now seriously for that many people to like them they've gotta be pretty darn good don'tcha think?

So what's my favourite Chilis song? Pretty hard to choose since theres so many great ones. But i'm gonna have to go with either by the way, californication, can't stop or under the bridge. But i really do recomend this band highly and mtvs always doing chilli days so go check them out...........now.......go buy their cds and taste the greatness that is the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!!!

Basically im posting about The OC, kinda sad talking about a tv show but hey what do i care. But the thing is i really do enjoy watching The Oc, i really don't know what makes it so compelling. The only reason i sarted watching was because i saw an advert for season 2 (which just finished) and the girls looked hot! But as i watched more i became genuinely liking the show; aswell as the girls of course. I think its the mixture between comedy and drama that makes it so good, ad it executes it sooo well.

People may have just dismissed it as another Dawson's Creek love-athon..which The Oc has elements of...but thats not the point. The point is that the characters are actually interesting. Plus the show contains the legendary SANDY COHEN!!! The epitome of legend....surfer lawyer and generally Mr Cool-Nice Guy.

Anyway i recently bought the season 1 boxset because i hadn't seen the first series. The thing that i really liked about the show is that i actually found it interesting from the beginning and had substance to it. Different to say Friends (also great show) which i didn't really like the first series. Orange County (which is a real place in california by the way) is so different to the U.K, and ive talked to people that have actually been there and it is actually quite a good synopsis of life in The OC, ignoring the fact that storylines have been exaggerated for effect. The term 'The OC' refering to Orange County has apparantly been adopted as a much more common phrase because of the show.

So yeh anyways thats pretty much what ive gotta say about the awesome show that is The OC

My annoyances

For some reason today i thought i would post my thoughts on what annoys me the most. I must say that i really do i have a huge dislike of chavs in general. Its not really that they wear gay clothes but its just they act like such losers, c'mon seriously who goes round looking for fights, its because their life has no significant meaning to it so they try and act hard. People who are genuinely hard don't need to let everyone know, they just are. So thats what annoys me really about chavs, oh and the fact they can't string a sentence without a swear word.

Next is the height issue i don't really mind light hearted jokes about my height but c'mon get something better because its really old and lame. People seem to think you cant do stuff because you may be shorter than someone whats up with that, if it was to with height id understand but most of the times it not and just another time to mention that their tall and im not, some type of gay superioty issue.

Next what annoys me is foreign people working in public relation jobs, who cant understand english...come on all i wanted to know was how much a smal popcorn and small drink how hard is that? Quite apparently! Like if they learnt english in a decent way id understand but really c'mon.

Next what i really dislike is worthless celebrities, like i have now problem with celebs who worked their way to fame i.e the fresh prince will smith (legend) but people who just become famous for being rich or the child of someone just annoys me. Mabye im just generally in an annoyed mood but hey wotever.

by the way live 8 was great if anyone didn't watch it you missed out on the biggest concert ever

So finally the day has come after 4 excruciating years of waiting. Most of you will probably know that i am referring to the fact that i have been waiting for a phone for 4 years whilst everyone around me owns one. This is because my parents didn't trust me that i wouldn't spend all my money on it and that i would take it to school and get it confiscated......which was probably true. To be honest i am quite pleased that i had to wait because no it is so much better and i feel i deserve it, and technology means that i have video, pictures, mp3, bluetooth and all that in my phone....something i wouldn't have if i got a phone earlier.. Now as a reward for finishing GCSEs i have finally got a phone and here it is in its greatness:

THE RESCUE

After having 24 hours of continous boredom i suddenly heard some noise from outside. So, using my awesome sense of hearing, i was able to distinctly tell that someone had been shot with a tranquilizer dart. Then i noticed two flashing dots on my locator, this could only mean one thing, Ninja Man Matt and Ginger Gunner were in the vacinity. After a few minutes the corridor was filled with gunfire and then Ginger Gunner appeared in the door way to my cell. He opened the door and then took out his Uzi and shot the handcuffs of my wrist. I leapt to my feet and drew my sword ready for some action. Then to my suprise Ninja Man Matt appeared out of nowhere from the window, don't ask me how he does i honestly don't know, and informed us that backup teams had been sent. Soon after it was confirmed with the sound of the alarm.

SWAT teams stormed in through the man lobby and were searching the building. Myself and Ginger Gunner were to go head into combat whist Ninja Man Matt remained in the shadows picking of men one by one. Of course only to stun them!

After beating our way through a dozen men we were eventually on the outside of the premesis. We decided to head back to our hideout where we would plan our next mission. Once back at our hideout i told Ginger Gunner and Ninja Man Matt that the whole rescue was merely a training test that i had devised to see whether they were capable of the mission, and they prevailed. Of course i didn't need their help but they passed nonetheless. I decided that our next plan of attack would be BURBERRY HQ, and destroy the production line of burberry goods........................

As i sat in my cell i wonderd if and when i was going to get rescued, how humilating the Master needs rescuing. The i remembered i had contacted Ninja Man Matt before the mission, he was also helping on my quest. However since he is a Ninja he wasn't captured by the Police he made his swift exit. Since i have a homing device attached to me mabye he will come and help me escape. Wait he may even enlist the help of my old friend The Ginger Gunner...............................................

(for those reading, this story is told in three different perspectives, through my eyes, through ninja man matts eyes and throught the ginger gunner's eyes....to read the different parts go to their respective blogs)

FAMOUS FOR WHAT?

So now i had the sword and i spent my days admiring it, but i still hadn't solved what i am going to be famous for doing. King Arthur was famous for....well being King Arthur. St George was famous for slaying a dragon and Achilles was famous for being unkillable. Then it hit me, i could be famous for being the guy who single handedly that saves the town from attack....hardly original but hey it will do.

So i went into town and started searching for my enemy...then they arrived THE CHAVS.

So i began to close in on them and whilst doing so i drew He-man's sword out of the sheaf. This was my moment....wait but then i got tackled to the ground by some police officers. Apparantly someone had seen me, a sixteen year old, holding a huge sword and about to attack some chavs, so she called the police.

The police didn't seriously and didn't take my theory about chavs being the enemy lightly, since one of them was his son...bummer. So i was taken to police cell....me the famous warrior was under arrest and behind bars for the time being. However for some reason the officer couldn't take the sword out of its sheath so it could be taken away.....so instead he hand cuffed my hands so i couldn't reach it. Mabye only i could take it out......

So there i was left in a police cell handcuffed and unable to continue my quest....................

IT BEGINS

I was sitting watching He-man when i decided to go to the shops and buy myself a legendary sword. I thought i would be kinda like Cloud's sword from Final Fantasy 7 ( great game), but mabye not quite as big.....

But ive never been shopping for swords before, where do you look...All:sports?
Well after hours of searching i finally found the sword i was looking for it was silver and engraved on it was master of the universe......wait no it couldn't be....it was.......HE-MAN'S sword.

WOW! i was stunned. But then i saw the price tag ~ for display only. MAN, so close. But thn it struck me, i will tell the shop assistant of my quest. So i walked upto the shop assistant and told him my story, he didn't buy it. My face dropped and i started walking out of the shop, when suddenly some punk kid nicked the sword and made a run for it. Dude i could not let some kid steal He-man's sword. So naturally i chased after him all the way until the shelley fountain.

He stopped looked at me and laughed at me, that only made me more annoyed. I sprinted at him and chucked him into the Shelley fountain just as the water came gushing down, all his chav cloths got soaked. So funny. He was so embarassed he ran off in tears.

I had done, i rescued He-man's sword. So having the good morals i do, i returned the sword to the shop. But the shop owner wouldn't take it back. He said i should have it and i deserved it. So gleefully i accepted. I was now in posession of the He-man's sword. WOW

Back at home i thought i'd check out what i could do with this bad boy so i got my brother chuck watermelons at me so that i could slice them. But of course they all hit me square in the face. More practice needed, but i am the ownerof the greatest sword of all time.........................

THE WARRIOR

So It is settled i am going to be a famous warrior, but what will i be famous for and what type of warrior will i be. Should i slay a dragon like St George or i could be like Achilles in Troy (the film didn't quite live up to my expectations but hey it was still enjoyable) or even like Ghengis Khan, he's a historical warrior if you didn't know. But wait the best of all i could be like He-man, man that dudes a legend. If you havent heard of him you should. C'mon the guys like the master of the Universe and he rides a cool beast thing and he shouts "I am HEEEEEEE-MAAAAN at everyone.

Yeah i think ive decided that i will be a warrior like He-man but im not sure about the skirt thing though it might be a bit uncomfortbale and revealing if you get my drift. But check out the size of that sword it's like half the size of him, dude i could take out some whoopin with that.

Ludo the famous warrior will emerge and he will be famous, but im not quite sure for what though........to be continued

The quest to find the meaning

The other day i was thinking "do i seriously just share the same name with a boardgame, how lame". So then i thought that mabye by some chance my name has some cool significance like there was some place called it or some historical dude had the same name. So then my quest began ~ to find the true meaning of Ludo. So i decided that the first place i should start my quest should, naturally, be google. So i typed Ludo into the image search and guess what i found.....board games.....lots of them. But then i saw that there was this fly looking black dude there too, it turns out he was a music artist and his name Ludo....quite cool.

The quest continues......

The next one was not so good, i came across i weird looking yeti, monster type thing and it was from some lame american tv programme....not quite what i was looking for. Despite this setback i was determined to find some cool relevant meaning to the name Ludo. ( I wonder if god planned us to have our names...hmmmmmm ponders for a few minutes)
I then realised that my name had also been used in Harry Potter~ equally lame but hey at least the dude wasnt some loser guy.

I began to wonder if my name actually had any cool meaning but then i found it...on some babynameaddicts.com that my name actually means famous warrior....how very cool and in latin it was used to say to play, also quite cool.

So my quest has come to an end i share my name with a boardgame, a hip hop artist, a weird monster and a fictional wizard character...but the best of all Ludo means famous warrior. Mabye that means i am going to be a famous warrior....DUN DUN DUN
